Hooray for Easter!
What a wonderful thing to be able to celebrate...New Life in Him!
I was able to join Drew at his school for his Easter party and egg hunt...the kids had a great time of course. And it was nice to have some just Drew and Mommy time too!
The Lego room a couple days before Easter...we had some cleaning to do to get ready for some of our favorite guests!!!
Grandpa, Nana and Uncle Kevin came for the weekend to visit! HOORAY! We always have so much fun when we are all together! In true Glienke form we of course got some good projects done too, but mixed in fun with the boys too! A little weed pulling project turned into a weekend of planting and landscaping, but the end result turned out great. Grandpa tried to get the boys to help, but they ended up just throwing dirt at him most of the time...this didn't surprise us one bit!
We were able to all go and cheer for Drew and Daddy at a soccer game on Saturday morning which was lots of fun too! It was a chilly morning for it, but we all had a good time!
It was a beautiful weekend though and warmed up quite a bit to let us be outside most of the time... the boys loved it all of course! There was lots of opportunities to wrestle with Grandpa and Uncle Kevin, so it's always a winning time when that happens. In fact, as we were prepping the boys for their visit, Noah said, "We're going to have TWO tickle monsters!!!" He was so excited to have his favorite rough housers come to play!
The Nana Easter Bunny came and all the kids enjoyed their new treats! And the boys enjoyed some sports time with Grandpa and Uncle Kevin - there's always time for sports! And Nana made sure there was time for dyeing eggs too...the boys enjoyed it more than I expected since I usually can't get them to focus on a craft for more than 5 minutes, but I think the novelty helped quite a bit...we had a good time with it!
We were able to have Easter lunch at our house with a bit of a joint gathering of Glienke and Palmer families. Since the Glienke's were here in Fort Worth, we happily invited Papa and Grandma and Lynne and her family for lunch, which was of course fun to have a big group. The boys loved the Easter egg hunt...just the 2 of them hunted for tons of eggs, inside since it was so wet outside, but they didn't seem to mind at all! :)
It was a wonderful time of celebration and gathering of families. We feel so blessed, as always!
