Happy Birthday Nana!

We set out for a road trip to Austin to celebrate Nana's birthday - all of us crashing at Uncle Kevin's house! The boys traveled great on the way to Austin, though Mommy had to squeeze between the car seats in the back for the last hour to give Noah some food and keep him happy - Mommy's arms and torso were all sorts of twisted so that both boys could get the attention they desired - ah, love and sacrifice go hand in hand!

Nana invited some friends over to Uncle Kevin's for lunch (without letting Kevin know FYI!), so we had fun with them...Drew, Jake and Uncle Kevin had a great time out in the backyard - all safe things like using jump ropes as whips, chase of course, and then there's hammers and exposed nails - all good fun!

After a quick nap, we headed out to the Round Rock Salt Lick for some yummy BBQ - meeting friends there too!

The evening went well, with Mommy and Daddy getting in an early bedtime since Drew wasn't about to sleep by himself in a different room - but much needed rest for us anyways!

The morning went well with Grandpa and Nana's help with the boys while Daddy and Uncle Kevin went to play some outdoor soccer. We got to Redeemer for early service and thankfully, while we were still in the parking lot and right after Grandpa handed Noah to Mommy, Noah threw ALL of breakfast up all over Mommy! Since Mommy only packs extra clothes for the kids, Mommy, Noah and Nana headed back home while Grandpa and Drew went to church with the Sellers - Drew reportedly did EXCELLENT in church! YEAH! Nana went back to pick them up while Mommy discussed a wide range of topics with Shane, the oh so wise one! and Noah took a nap!

We had a bit of change of plans with our trip back - we were going to meet up with Mommy's friend for lunch, but Noah just didn't seem right, so we headed back early and stopped for lunch...and our gut feeling on Noah was correct - he threw up right after I finished feeding him, but thanks to Nana's tip, I had a towel ready and salvaged to keep my LAST outfit clean, and Noah just needed a quick wipe down.

Noah slept most of the way home and we made it back in time for Drew to take a quick nap. Poor Noah was all thrown off by the day, he did manage to keep down the rest of his food, but to keep him happy, I headed out to the swing before dinner, and poor thing, he fell asleep rather quickly and stayed that way until Drew woke him up after getting home with Daddy from the grocery store.

So, Happy Birthday Nana! We had a great time with everyone and oddly enough, even with Noah getting sick and sleeping in the same room as Drew, it wasn't so bad that we wouldn't do it again - funny how 2 kids can change your expectations for a weekend out of town trip! :) HA!
