Happy Easter

We had a blessed Easter, as always, celebrating the promise of eternal life through our Savior Jesus Christ! Alleluia!

After a joyous service at St. Paul, we headed home to host the Palmer family for lunch and a fun afternoon together. Everyone was able to be a part of the fun, except for sweet cousin Julia :( who had to work. We filled our bellies to the brim and then the boys filled, and filled, and filled their Easter baskets to overflowing!

Without realizing it, between Grandparents, Mohrs, and us, we had ~150 eggs for Luke and Drew to find! That's right, just 2 boys for all those eggs! And to make it even more hilarious, since it was raining, we had the egg hunt inside! The boys and Grandma sat on the porch while about 10 of us had the task of 'hiding' 150 eggs on the first floor of our house, avoiding bathrooms! Needless to say, every time we went to put an egg in a spot, there was already another egg there! But the boys didn't seem to mind one bit! They had a blast searching for them. Their baskets were so full, they had to dump them into bags so they could keep looking! What fun!

Drew was pretty hilarious...at first, he wanted to open up each egg as he found them, but we encouraged him there was time for that later - in the meantime, Luke was raking it in! Then Drew started to pick up speed a little bit and just shook the eggs when he found them...if they didn't make noise, he would put them back! :) We convinced him that there were prizes, some even better than those that made noise, in those too! (We wanted some of the dollar bill eggs from Papa too!)

The boys had fun going through all their candy and prizes and Drew was easily convinced to share candy with everyone, including Luke - silly Luke! I share this as a funny memory, and nothing more, but Luke was hilarious...he had quite a few army men and other trinket toys, but still wanted some of Drew's - his parents quickly pointed out that he needed to share...so he slyly went over to Drew and told him to ask him if he/Luke wanted to have some of his toys...Drew, being the doting cousin he is to Luke, easily obliged and offered Luke a few of his toys, to which Luke promptly took and reported to his Mom, "See, Drew wants to share with me!" HILARIOUS!!!

We had a wonderful time with everyone and were happy to host. We were so happy Sunny, Chelsey, and sweet baby Rhyder were able to come! And baby Jacob slept almost the whole afternoon away in his car seat! Sweet babies!!!

The last 7 children born in the Palmer family have all been BOYS!!! This is the best picture we could get with all of them - it was near impossible to get all the little ones to look in the same direction of course :)

Happy Easter everyone! Oh, and the boys did a fantastic job searching for the eggs - we only found 1 or 2 that evening after everyone left, and none since then!
